ACADEMY AWARDS


Fevereiro é mês de volta às aulas, Carnaval (ops… esse ano será em março) e… a cerimônia do Oscar!

O Academy Award (informalmente conhecido como o Oscar) é o prêmio dado pela Academia Americana de Filmes, Artes e Ciências (American Academy of Motion Picture, Arts and Sciences – AMPAS) para reconhecer a excelência de profissionais na indústria cinematográfica.

Devido à exposição e prestígio da premiação, estúdios gastam milhões de dólares e contratam publicitários especificamente para promover seus filmes durante a chamada “temporada do Oscar”. Isso tem gerado acusações de que a Academia seja influenciada mais por marketing do que qualidade.

Verdade ou não, o fato é que a cerimônia atrai a atenção de milhões de espectadores e da mídia, não só nos Estados Unidos como no mundo todo.
